Andy "Papa Bear" Zepeda wore a black shirt with a bear paw in its center imposed over bands of Rastafarian red, yellow, and green. Shay Zepeda, his son, wore a matching shirt. They decorated the empty warehouse that the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors had recently approved for their cannabis business with a black flag depicting the same logo bordered by two phrases: "Papa Bear" above the paw; "Fine Cannabis" underneath.

The California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees recently approved raises for campus presidents to match salaries from public universities nationwide, yet not all trustees were on board.

The $324,000 increase in spending due to the raises brought the total cost of CSU presidents and chancellors salaries to $10.2 million and increased President Jeffrey Armstrong’s salary to $429,915 with a $12,000 car allowance and a house.
